The Challenge
The property had a pool installed by a previous owner with no deck — just gravel around the coping. A 7-foot grade change at the back meant the kitchen and fire area had to sit at a different elevation than the pool. Previous design firms couldn't solve the transitions.
Our Approach
Victor and Grover personally designed the level-change strategy — a travertine pool deck at grade, then a wide double-stair landing that transitions to an elevated pavilion zone with the kitchen and fire room. The grade became a design asset, not a problem.
The Outcome
The 7-week build required 4 crew members daily, with Victor and Grover alternating on-site supervision. Every element was completed. The client's final walkthrough lasted 40 minutes — they walked it three times. No punch list items.
