The Challenge
Basement took on water every heavy rain. Previous homeowner had attempted a surface drain that failed. Yard pitched toward the house instead of away from it.
Our Approach
Installed 190 linear feet of perforated pipe French drain system with three pop-up emitters, regraded the entire rear yard with 2% positive slope away from foundation, added window well drain tie-in.
The Outcome
Zero water intrusion through two subsequent heavy rains including a 3-inch storm event. Yard now drains completely within 4 hours of any rain event.
