The Challenge
The backyard had a severe 4-foot grade change across 30 feet, with standing water problems after every rain. Previous contractor had quoted $52,000 without solving the drainage.
Our Approach
We engineered a multi-level patio design that used the grade change as a design feature — stepped seating walls that double as retaining elements, with a French drain system routed under the patio to a dry creek bed along the fence line.
The Outcome
The standing water problem was fully eliminated. The multi-level layout created distinct zones — dining, fire, and lounging — making the space feel twice as large. Victor personally oversaw all 16 days on site.
