The Challenge
Partially finished basement — bare drywall, no flooring, no lighting beyond a single bulb. The homeowners had gym equipment but nowhere functional to use it.
Our Approach
Installed 800 sq ft commercial rubber flooring, full mirror wall (12ft wide x 7ft tall), 8 recessed LED lights on two dimmer circuits, custom equipment storage wall with hooks and shelving, and a dedicated 20-amp circuit for cardio equipment.
The Outcome
Eleven days. The basement gym is now better equipped than most commercial gyms. The mirror wall makes the space feel twice as large. The rubber flooring protects the concrete slab from equipment impact and provides safe traction.
This basement finishing was completed in McLean, VA — Chesterbrook. P&L Outdoor Solutions serves homeowners across Northern Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley — including Leesburg, Ashburn, Great Falls, Sterling, and more.

“Better than any gym membership we've had. The mirror wall, the rubber flooring, the lighting — Victor designed it like someone who actually works out. Not a generic basement build.”
He asked how we train, what equipment we have, what we need to store. Designed the room around our actual use. The rubber floor is commercial grade — nothing slides, nothing damages the slab. Worth it.
